Abstract

It is very necessary that along with the changes in old system new experiences should be included in such a way that it should look like part of our culture. Some time we feel that old forms and structures are insufficient for our poetic expression thus we express our poetic thought in new forms and new structures. It is possible that reader is impressed by expression of our poetry in new form. So there should't be any restriction on expressing our selves in new form in our poetry.  As far as urdu poetry is concerned it has such a wide canvas that you can express all kind of thoughts in it. Dr Iqbal's poetry can be a good example. We can include western forms and structures from western poetry but it is not possible to except western culture the way it is. By doing so there are chances that we may loose our own cultural values.
