Abstract

This research article critically examines Allama Iqbal’s philosophical and poetic thought in the context of globalization and its multidimensional challenges. Globalization has transformed the modern world through rapid communication, economic integration, and cultural exchange, but it has also intensified issues such as cultural domination, materialism, economic exploitation, and identity crises. The study highlights that Iqbal’s philosophy of Khudi (selfhood), his vision of collective unity, and his emphasis on spiritual and intellectual freedom provide meaningful responses to these contemporary challenges. By analyzing the socio-political, cultural, and economic dimensions of globalization, the article demonstrates how Iqbal’s ideas can serve as a guiding framework for individuals and nations, particularly Muslim societies, in preserving their cultural identity while benefiting from modern progress. Iqbal’s emphasis on youth empowerment, self-realization, and the pursuit of justice underscores his relevance in addressing the imbalance created by globalization. His thought transcends temporal boundaries, offering universal solutions to the dilemmas of the modern world. The findings suggest that Iqbal’s vision is not confined to a particular region or era; rather, it is a dynamic intellectual resource that bridges tradition and modernity. Ultimately, the article concludes that Iqbal’s message remains vital in constructing a balanced approach to globalization—one that embraces technological and economic opportunities without compromising spiritual and cultural integrity.
