Impact of Beliefs on Contemporary Global Politics: The Role of Armageddon and Al-Malhama Al-Kubra in the Middle East Context

Abstract

This article critically examines how eschatological beliefs specifically "Armageddon" and "Al-Malhama Al-Kubra"shape contemporary Middle Eastern conflicts. Moving beyond traditional secular politics, the study introduces "Prophetic Realism," a paradigm where global and regional actors justify military actions by executing a perceived divine script rather than adhering to international law. The research reveals that these religious narratives act as an active "Mythic Operating System," breeding societal "Apocalyptic Fatalism" and a perpetual war psychology. Ultimately, the article emphasizes the need to reclaim the true moral and spiritual essence of these texts, grounded in the Quran and Hadith, to counter their political and strategic misinterpretations.
